Bury Theatre Workshop is proud to present its 14th year of outdoor Shakespeare in the Abbey Gardens!

The roguish Falstaff is at it again in this classic comedy. BMI challenged Falstaff attempts to seduce the already married Mistress Page and Mistress Ford but quickly learns that he is in for more than he bargained for as the two women team up to teach him a lesson. Full of trickery, secrets, and disguises (and a song or two!).  Can love win out over jealousy?

Arrive early with a chair or blanket, sun screen and a picnic for a few hours of Elizabethan silliness in the beautiful Abbey Gardens.

Please note.  We wont send you tickets but don't worry.   We'll know you've bought them and will tick you off our list on your arrival!

Everyone thinks they know it but have you ever actually seen it?

We're going to try to keep performances to no more than two and a quarter hours though the production will be as 'traditional' as you can get.  In Elizabethan costume and complete with ghost, sword fights, poisonings, drownings, madness and of course, all those famous soliloquys.

This above all: to thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.

With 15 years of Shakespeare productions behind us, we're ready to present this immortal masterpiece!
